Dell Latitude 7450 (Ultra 5 / 512GB / 16GB)

The Latitude 7450 is for professionals who travel constantly and cannot afford to carry a heavy machine. At under 1.3kg, it is significantly lighter than most 14-inch business laptops. If you commute daily, fly for work, or move between client sites, the weight difference is felt by the end of the day.

This machine suits senior professionals in consulting, finance, law, and executive roles where the laptop is a daily companion rather than a desk fixture. The 7000 series is Dell's premium commercial line; it signals quality and is built to a higher standard than the 5000 series.

The Core Ultra 5 variant offers excellent performance for professional workloads at a more accessible price point than the Ultra 7 configuration. For standard corporate use including heavy Office and communication tool usage, Ultra 5 is more than sufficient.

The Latitude 7450 is built from a carbon fiber and aluminum composite chassis that is both lighter and more rigid than the magnesium alloy used in the 5000 series. The reduction in weight is not achieved by sacrificing structural integrity.

Intel Core Ultra 5 on Meteor Lake architecture delivers strong performance across professional workloads with exceptional efficiency. The NPU handles AI inference tasks locally, supporting AI features in Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 Copilot.

The Latitude 7450 includes Dell's premium commercial security stack: fingerprint reader, IR camera with Windows Hello, TPM 2.0, and optional smart card reader. The display options include higher-brightness and wider-color-gamut panels versus the 5000 series.

For professionals who have previously used ThinkPad X1 Carbon or similar premium ultrabooks and want the Dell commercial equivalent, the Latitude 7450 is the answer.

16GB LPDDR5 RAM. In the Latitude 7450, memory is soldered to the board, meaning it cannot be upgraded post-purchase. Choose the 32GB configuration if you anticipate needing more RAM in the future. The 512GB NVMe SSD is replaceable via the M.2 slot.
